broadcast-address
The
broadcast-address
interface configuration command defines an interface broadcast address. To restore the
default IP broadcast address, use the no form of this command.
Syntax
broadcast-address
{
255.255.255.255
|
0.0.0.0
}
no broadcast-address
Parameters
•
255.255.255.255
— Use 255.255.255.255 as the broadcast address.
•
0.0.0.0
— Use 0.0.0.0 as the broadcast address.
Default Configuration
The default is 255.255.255.255 as the broadcast address.

There are no user guidelines for this command.
Examples
The following example defines an interface broadcast address as 0.0.0.0 on IP interface 1.0.0.1.
Console(config)# interface ip 1.0.0.1

The command is only valid when the device is in Router mode.
