Connecting Stacked Switch Groups
The DGS-3212SR may be configured to function as the Master of a stacked group of DES-3226S/SR switches
(see Restrictions for Stacking on page 5). A stacked group of DES-3226S/SR switches are connected using a star
topology. A group of DGS-3212SR switches may be connected using either a star or a ring topology. All
switches in a stacked group must be properly configured to operate. The instructions below, Configuring a
Stacked Switch Group, tell you how to configure the DGS-3212SR to function as a Master, as well as how to
configure the DES-3226S/SR and DGS-3212SR to function as slave switch units using the CLI interface.
