SNMP V3 Encryption
Click the
encrypted
click-box to enable encrypted SNMP V3 messages to
be encrypted. If you select this option, you must select the encryption
protocols, and enter the appropriate passwords into the entry fields below.
Auth-Protocol
None

Specifies that no authorization protocol is in use. If an
authorization protocol is chosen, you must enter the authorization string in
the
Password
entry field to the right of this drop-down menu.
MD5
−
Specifies that the HMAC-MD5-96 authentication level will be used.
SHA
−
Specifies that the HMAC-SHA authentication protocol will be used.
Priv-Protocol
None
−
Specifies that no authorization protocol is in use. If an
authorization protocol is chosen, you must enter the authorization string in
the
Password
entry field to the right of this drop-down menu.
DES
−
Specifies that DES 56-bit encryption is in use based on the CBC-
DES (DES-56) standard.
SNMP View Table
The
SNMP View Table
is used to assign views to community strings that define which MIB objects can be
accessed by a remote SNMP manager.

To delete an existing
SNMP View Table
entry, click the
X
icon corresponding to the entry you want to delete.
To create a new entry, click the
Add
button, a separate menu will appear.
