Configuring Device (Access Point Mode)
Parameter
Description
BG Protection
The 802.11b and 802.11g protection function is used to minimize
collisions between devices of your wireless network.
Select a value from the drop-down list.
Auto
: The protection function is enabled and disabled automatically
depending on the state of the network (this value is recommended if
your wireless local area network consists of both 802.11b and
802.11g devices).
Always On
: The protection function is always enabled (this setting
can substantially lower the efficiency of your wireless network).
Always Off
: The protection function is always disabled.
Bandwidth
The channel bandwidth for 802.11n devices.
20MHz
: 802.11n devices operate at 20MHz channels.
40MHz
: 802.11n devices operate at 40MHz channels.
20/40MHz -
: 802.11n devices operate at 20MHz and 40MHz
channels (the channel is combined with the previous adjacent
channel).
20/40MHz +
: 802.11n devices operate at 20MHz and 40MHz
channels (the channel is combined with the next adjacent channel).
TX Preamble
This parameter defines the length of the CRC block sent by the
access point when communicating to wireless devices.
Select a value from the drop-down list.
Long Preamble

Short Preamble
(this value is recommended for networks with
high-volume traffic).
When you have configured the parameters, click the
Change
button.
