3.20 Installing a Hard Drive in Caddy
The hard drive caddy is designed for a 2.5 inch SATA/SAS low-profile hard drive HDD or SSD.
Ensure all protective material is removed from the hard drive prior to inserting it into the caddy.
Tools Required:
#1 Philips or Reed and Prince screwdriver
Materials Required:
4 Philips wafer head screws, 3M x 3.5 mm, thread locking
adhesive.
Use ESD best practices to avoid electrostatic discharge on or within the appliance.

This procedure must be performed with the appliance powered
OFF
and the power cord
disconnected.

To install a hard drive into a caddy, do the following:
1.
Place the caddy on a flat, ESD protected surface.
2.
Ensure the 4 Philips head screws from the removal procedure are handy.
3.
Align the hard drive front with the caddy front. The connector is away from the bezel.
4.
With the hard drive front seated in the caddy, slip the hard drive into the caddy.
