3. The ventilation pipe on suction side is
replaced with a different version and
connected with the angle fitting on the back
of the pump. The ventilation pipe on
pressure side is guided to the outside (Fig.
30).
4. Connect suction and pressure lines
according to the new configuration.
5.7
Rotor conversion for different
pumping pressure
Each peristaltic pump is adjusted to the desired
pumping pressure in the factory. Should an
application related change in pumping pressure
become necessary, the desired pumping
pressure can be adjusted by changing the rotor
diameter (Fig. 31).
1. Switch off the pump and secure it against
restarting.
2. Drain off the lubricating fluid and remove the
pump cover (see previous section).
Fig. 31
3. Turn the rotor by hand until one of the sliding
shoes (Fig. 31) is free.
4. Adjust the gauge block to the desired tube
gap = pressure stage.
5. Measure distance sliding piece – pump
housing (X) and compare with the following
table.
6. To adjust the tube distance loosen counter
nut (1) and adjust the sliding piece to the
desired distance (adjustment of gauge block)
by turning adjustment nut (2) accordingly.
7. Tighten the adjustment nut again and check
the adjusted measurement again.
15. Replace oil chain plug, fill with lubricating
fluid (see chapter Technical Data) through
oil filler bore (Fig. 19).
16. Replace oil fill plug back (do not forget the
seal ring).
5.6
Conversion suction side “top” to
suction side “bottom”
For this conversion the vacuum system must be
changed.
1. Switch off the pump and secure it against
restarting.
2. Disconnect the pump from the pipeline
system on suction and pressure side (see
chapter 5.5.1)
