This additionally aids the restoring force of the
hose to its original full cross section.
The IP series of peristaltic pumps work on the
basis of a patented vacuum principle.
As the rotor turns, air is pumped through an
additional channel in the hose (see cross
section Fig. 3) out of the upper area of the
pump housing.
This generates a vacuum inside the sealed
aluminium housing.
