Note:
If this is the first time the HyperTerminal program launches, it will prompt the user
to set it as the default Telnet program. Depending on institutional requirements,
users may choose YES or NO.

Click the HYPERTERMINAL option.
4.
When the Connect Description window opens, type in the desired file name in the
Name field.
5.
Locate the proper icon by scrolling all the way to the far right of the icon field.
6.
Select the icon.
7.
Click the OK button.
Note:
If the personal computer is not connected via the USB to mini-USB cable to the
monitoring system, the proper COM port option will not appear in the list.
8.
When the Connect To window opens, find the CONNECT USING option and click
the down arrow to identify possible modem options.
9.
Select the desired COM port.
10.
Click the OK button.
11.
In the COM PROPERTIES window, set the appropriate values.
a.
Set the baud rate (bits per second) to match the monitoring system. The
factory default baud rate is 19200 bits per second (bps).
b.
Ensure the data bit is set to 8.
c.
Ensure the parity bit is set to none.
d.
Ensure the stop bit is set to 1.
e.
Ensure the flow control is set to none.
12.
Click the OK button.
Note:
To test for trend data download connectivity, proceed with the download by
pressing the START option. If no data values appear in HyperTerminal, try a
