Enable/Disable Automatic Proxy Configuration (Step 4a)
In the absence of a Domain Controller (Windows server), this function may be used to automatically configure
browser proxy settings. If enabled, Automatic Proxy Configuration will modify ComSifter’s DHCP server to
include the location of the WPAD file when configuring client computers. It will also enable ComSifter’s internal
web server to serve out the WPAD file.
Warning:
Before enabling this feature, the ComSifter DHCP server must be properly
configured and enabled.
This function is currently compatible with Internet Explorer 7+ and Google
Chrome 14+. It is not compatible with Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari (any
versions).
