17. Apply Loctite 242 to, install
and tighten the eight screws
(see red arrows) through the
front of the scalar plate and
into the end of the drop-in
feed assembly.
18. Route the BLUE leg of the
harness from the lower
interconnect PCB to the right
strut, up to the top strut and
over the dish (with the red
harness leg & coax).
The BLUE leg of the harness attaches
to the lower interconnect PCB.
The RED leg of the harness attaches to
the upper interconnect PCB.
19. On the back side of the
reflector:
•
If your antenna is a standard
9711 system, connect the
harness to the “Feed” DB25
port on the PCU.
•
If your antenna is a 9711QOR
system, connect the harness
to the “Reflector A” DB25 port
on the QOR Switch Box.
15.4. Field Repair & Calibration of the C-Band Circular/Linear Selectable Feed
This feed assembly is aligned & calibrated at the factory. Calibration values are recorded on the feed assembly and
will not need to be changed as long as the Linear, and Circular, potentiometer alignments are not disturbed.
Re-calibration of the feed will NOT be required after replacing motors, limit switches, wiring, LNBs, filter or
waveguide rotary joint.
The feed WILL have to be re-calibrated if you disengage (disturb the alignment of) or replace the linear, or circular,
potentiometer.
