What Happens

The module resets, runs self-test, and then begins executing
the new firmware image.
Indications that this stage is in progress include:

Module status — not functional during reset and self-test.
•
Module cannot respond to management requests.
•
LED display — The Power and Network* LEDs remain on.
The Module OK and Port State LED #4 turn off. The Port
State LEDs then cycle through various patterns.

Typical time to complete this stage — normally 1 minute.
After the successful completion of self-test, the Module OK
turns on and the module becomes fully manageable. Note also
that the HUB Manager display indicates:

*If the module is connected to the network through the ThinWire port, the
Network OK # A LED is lit. Otherwise, if the module is connected to the
network through the AUI port, the Network OK # B is lit.
