11.2.2 Calculating the distance rings (tubes) for the allPIXA pro camera
Some applications require distance rings (tubes) for mounting the lens in the right position on
the allPIXA pro camera. This section shows an example how to calculate the length of the
distance ring.
To calculate the needed distance rings, you must get some information about the optical
setup:
Optical parameter:
Real focal length (from data sheet)
Image distance (calculated)
Parameters of the lens:
Back-flange length at infinite distance (from data sheet)
Parameters of additional focusing unit:
Minimum offset distance of the unit from flange of the lens
