a. Check
Actuate the opening of the piston by pressing the 92/60 or key
and check that the piston is correctly actuated; if that is not the
case, adjust the electromagnet.
b. Adjustment
1. Remove the Alveograph's casing (see op. A5-1) .
2. Unscrew the three screws on the electromagnet (A).
3. Connect the electromagnet's wires (14 and 15) to an extension
with connecting blocks, itself connected to locations (14 and
15) of the orange connector. Connect this connector to the
CPU board.
Note: you can use an external 24VDC/1A power supply.
4. Press key 92/60 and adjust the position of the electromagnet
so that it does not get stuck has any hard spots; continue until
it works smoothly.
5. Manually turn the core of the electromagnet one quarter turn
(when it is not actuated). Repeat operation
4 to check that the
piston is driven over one complete rotation of the electromag-
net.
6. Fully tighten the screws of the electromagnet.
7. Reconnect everything.
8. Put the Alveo unit back in place.
9. Run a leak test (see op. A10-3) .
