b. Refitting
1. If it has been removed, refit the coupling on the gear motor
(see op. Operation B3-2) .
2. Install the new gear motor, screw in the 4 screws on the frame
without fully tightening them (the engine should still move
slightly when handled).
You adjust the height of the gear motor by adding or removing “fork”
compression spacers under the fastenings (E).
For the following operations you must use a new mixing blade.
3. Using the crank provided for the purpose, rotate the gear
motor that drives the coupling to place it in different positions
(F). For each of these positions, try and fit the mixing blade
without it scraping the bowl. If the mixing blade makes contact,
remove it and realign the gear motor with the bowl using the
spacers until it no longer scrapes.
4. Once adjusted, rotate the gear motor slowly (one complete
revolution), leaving the mixing blade in place to check that it
rotates smoothly without friction.
5. The position duly adjusted, fully tighten the screws of the gear
motor and check once more that there is no friction.
6. Reconnect the 3 electrical connections of the gear motor to the
speed regulator (identification, from the bottom upwards:
green - brown - blank).
7. Replace the casing, see procedure B1-1 "Removing and
replacing the mixer hood" .
Note: When the same gear motor is put back, the alignment should
not pose a problem if you have kept the spacers in position.
