Serious frontal collision (frontal or within
30
o
leftward and rightward) will actuate
the front air bag. Within the one thousand
second of the collision, the air bag will
inflate to swell and then deflate when
contacted with the passenger’s body so as
to buffer the forward movement of the
passenger. The air bag will not be actuated
during slight collision and rear or side
collision.
Air Bag Alarm Lamp
When the ignition switch is turned to ON,
the indicator lamp on the dashboard will
light about 3-4s before turn-off to indicate
the system is op erational.
If the indicator lamp does not light, or the
lamp keeps intermitted lighting or
consecutive lighting during driving, it
indicates the occurrence of trouble. In
consideration of your safety, please deliver
the vehicle to the Chery’s special service
station for examining.
The manufacturer of the air bag equipped
in the vehicle suggests renewing the air
bag after 10-year’s use. In the time, the
efficiency of the inflating agent and the
effectiveness of the air bag are
deteriorated.
If you have any doubts against the service
life of your vehicle air bag, Chery’s
special service station is willing to query
the related data for you.
The air bag system can be only dealt with
by Chery’s special service station.

front area of the air bag at any time.
