In the event that a set must be returned to operational stowage immediately,
re-attach the facemask to the BA set and allow it to air-dry in the locker
without the facemask bag attached.
Allow sufficient drying time before refitting the facemask bag. Ensure that
the demand valve is
completely dry
prior to reconnection of facemask and
the re-stowage of BA.
Safety directions when using BioGuard®
Wear safety goggles and chemical resistant gloves to handle BioGuard®,
especially when agitating in the solution. Avoid splashing the solution during
cleaning and rinsing.
Clean up any spills. Keep out of eyes and mouth. Avoid skin contact.
Eyes
: If contact with eyes occurs, immediately flush eyes with cold running
water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.
Skin
: If skin contact occurs, immediately flush skin with water for at least 15
minutes while removing contaminated clothing. Seek medical attention if
symptoms persist.
Ingestion
: If swallowed, contact a doctor or

Non-approved heat drying equipment is
not
to be used for facemask drying
under any circumstances.
Do not dry the facemask by placing in direct sunlight.
Facemask drying in an approved cabinet should
not exceed 50°C
.
