Radio frequency identification chip
The MSA G1 C has three passive radio frequency identifier (RFID) chips located
throughout the set. These chips are indicated by the RFID symbol. The RFID chips are
located in the follow areas:
facemask (bottom of the mask near the exhalation vents);
back plate; (just above the cylinder retraining strap); and
demand valve (left hand side).

The passive RFID chips can be used by the State PPE&C Management
Centre. This function is
not
available to operators.
