MSA G1 Classic Breathing Apparatus
Components
The MSA G1 C has the following components:
carrier frame;
harness assembly;
pressure reducer;
low pressure warning whistle;
demand valve;
facemask;
pressure gauge;
MSA Motion Scout Distress Signal Unit (DSU); and
buddy breather.
Carrier frame
The carrier frame consists of the following components:
a dragging handle;
two carry handles (180 kg) – one on each side;
passive radio frequency identifier (RFID) (which can be used for asset management
purposes);
central battery securing clips (these have been incorporated for easier adjustment if
required to change to the MSA G1 E model);
bumper (a shock absorber on the underside of the pressure reducer); and
lower brackets for the pressure reducer.
The G1 C BA is National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and European Norm (EN)
flame engulfment certified.
