Using the HDMI OUT Terminal
The HDMI
TM
OUT terminal also offers a digital connection and outputs
both a video and audio signal. The video output signal depends on the
MON. terminal’s video output setting. You can output also the camera’s
time code signal and onscreen displays, or change the video output to
B&W mode. The audio output signal will be 2-channel linear PCM audio
(16-bit*, 48 kHz sampling). You can select which audio channels to

1 Open the [Select Monitoring Devices] submenu.

2 Select an option that includes [HDMI] and then press SET.
• If necessary, continue the procedure to activate the output of the time code signal from the HDMI OUT
terminal. Otherwise, the rest of the procedure is not necessary.
3 Open the [HDMI Time Code] submenu.

• In the following cases, the HDMI OUT terminal’s output will switch automatically to HD or SD depending on the
capability of the external monitor.

• SD output is not available when the frame rate is set to 24.00P.
• The HDMI OUT terminal is for output only. Do not connect the camera to another device’s output terminal
using the HDMI OUT terminal as this will cause a malfunction.
• Correct operation cannot be guaranteed when connecting the camera to DVI monitors.
• Video may not be output correctly depending on the monitor. In such case, use another terminal.
• You can set both [

[Rec Command] and [HDMI Time Code] to [On] to use the
camera’s START/STOP button to control also the recording operation of an external recorder connected to the
HDMI OUT terminal. The camera's time code signal will be output as well.
• The time code will not be output from the HDMI OUT terminal during SD output or in
mode.
