The POWER lamp (orange) on the rear of the
camera blinks.
• The firmware of the camera is being updated. It may take a while.
• The pan/tilt position is shifted. Executing [Pan/Tilt Initialization] in [System] >
[Maintenance] > [General] > [Tool] initializes the pan/tilt position.
• If the POWER lamp (orange) continues to blink after taking any of the above
measures, it may be a malfunction with the camera. Restart the camera. If the problem
persists, please contact the dealer or a Canon sales representative.
Out of focus.
• When autofocus is used to control the focus, some subjects may be difficult to focus
on automatically. If this happens, adjust the focus manually.
• If the lens protector is dirty, clean it. For details, refer to "Routine Maintenance" (P. 23).
Subject appears bent diagonally.
• When shooting a fast-moving subject or when the angle of view changes during
shooting, the subject may appear to be bent diagonally.
This is a phenomenon that occurs when a CMOS image sensor is used, and is not a
camera malfunction.
The image rotates in the opposite direction to
the camera operation.
• Make sure [System] > [System] > [Camera] > [Installation Conditions] is set to [Video
• If connecting to a remote controller, the setting of the controller may be reverse. For
details, refer to the instruction manual of controller.
Files cannot be saved.
• Operation System prohibits saving to certain folders. Accordingly, an attempt to save
a file may fail. Specify other folders such as [Documents], [Pictures], etc.
