Step 1: Place the Mannequin in the Work Area
Locate a work area for the Vimedix. A permanent location is recommended so the equipment does not
need to be transported. Place the mannequin flat on its back on a flat surface.
For the male mannequin, use a surface that can support 72 pounds (32.7 kg) such as a display cart; or
32 pounds (14.5 kg) for the Bob 1.3 mannequin.
NOTE: If you are installing the head of a Bob 1.2 male mannequin, place the mannequin on its stomach.

When using the Bob 1.3 mannequin in the elevated position (for transthoracic echocardiogram), the
stands can be attached to tilt the mannequin towards the left lateral decubitus position.
