Proper operation of the Vimedix simulator requires correct configuration. Before setting up the system,
keep in mind these basic guidelines:
• Read and understand the Cautions and Warnings in the beginning of this
Guide.
• Follow and complete the sequence of Setup steps carefully.
• Do not power on any components until instructed in the text.
• Do not install any Windows updates or anti-virus software when
connecting to the network.
• When unpacking the simulator for the first time, use box cutters carefully to
protect both the packaging and the product.
• Use two people when lifting the Bob mannequin.
• Only connect power cords/power strip to a reliable grounded power
supply source.
• Ensure the power source is easily accessible for a quick disconnection in
case of emergency.
NOTE: Keep all original shipping materials, including boxes. Warranty and repair items must be
returned and shipped in their original packaging.
Setting Up the Vimedix Simulator
1 Place the Mannequin in the Work Area
2 Attach the Head (TEE Users Only)
3 Place the Computer in the Work Area
4 Connect the Mannequin to the Computer
5 Connect the Computer to a Power Supply
6 Connect the Monitor to a Power Supply
7 Connect the Monitor to the Computer
8 Connect the Mouse and Keyboard
9 Connect the Ethernet Cable
10 Connect the Probe to the Computer
11 Power on the Computer and Monitor
