Priority 1 Traps
ATX MIB Reference Guide
11-3
•
hwDiagStatus – Included for any module which is not present or has failed
power-up diagnostics.
•
hwDiagCode – Included for any module which has a non-zero value to report.
•
hwType – Included for any module which passed power-up diagnostics, but
whose module type does not match the value defined for the module by
hwDefType. Note that the unit’s power-up processing will attempt to
automatically redefine the configured hwDefType to match the module’s
actual type.
•
hwPortType – Included for any module which passed power-up diagnostics,
but whose port types do not match the port types defined for the module by
hwDefPortType. Note that the unit’s power-up processing will attempt to
automatically redefine the configured hwPortType to match the module’s
actual port types.
•
hwPortStatus – Included for any module which passed power-up diagnostics,
but has one or more ports which have failed power-up diagnostics.

PRIORITY 1 TRAPS
Priority 1 Traps are the middle priority enterpriseSpecific Traps, and are only sent
if configAlarmDynamic is True (except for swdisWriteStatus and swdisDesc).
Each of these Traps is acknowledged by reading every variable within the Trap,
unless otherwise indicated. The following variables may be reported.
•
pppLinkQuality – Sent whenever the PPP port is enabled, and its link quality
has changed (from bad to good, or from good to bad). When a PPP port is
started, it is assumed to be good, until link quality measurements prove
otherwise.
•
fddimibSMTCFState – Sent whenever the FDDI port’s CFM state has
changed. The following parameters are also included.
•
fddimibPORTRemoteMACIndicated – Sent in conjunction with
fddimibSMTCFState (sent for both ports, if it is a DAS connection);
fddimibPORTRemoteMACIndicated does not need to be acknowledged. The
NMS should use this parameter to determine if the FDDI ring is twisted.
•
fddimibMACUpstreamNbr – Sent whenever the FDDI port’s upstream
neighbor has changed. The following parameters are also included:
fddimibMACOldUpstreamNbr
•
fddimibMACOldUpstreamNbr – Sent in conjunction with
fddimibMACUpstreamNbr; It does not need to be acknowledged.
