Chapter 10: Cabletron MIB

ATX MIB Reference Guide
sysTrapTime
{sys 4}
TimeTicks Read-Write
The time, in centiseconds, which should expire between the sending of traps.
This value is used when no ICMP source quench datagrams have been received.
[Receiving ICMP source quench datagrams will cause the unit to use a time
period greater than sysTrapTime]. The unit uses sysTrapTime if any SNMP
requests from the NMS has been received within the previous sixty seconds. If no
requests have been received, then the unit reverts to its default of a fifteen second
wait between the sending of traps.
sysTrapRetry
{sys 5}
TimeTicks Read-Write
The time, in centiseconds, which should expire before an unacknowledged Trap
is re-transmitted.
sysTrapPort
{sys 6}
Integer Read-Write
Zero, or the UDP port number to which a second copy of SNMP traps should be
sent. Valid values are 0 through 65535.
10.2
RESERVED GROUP
{sigma 2}
Not-Applicable
This subtree holds information which is not relevant for the unit.
10.3
ATX GROUP
ecs-1
{sigma 3}
This subtree holds all of the information for the unit. These attributes are
sheltered within a single tree in an attempt to avoid future compatibility
problems. Since the unit is a multi-media unit, packets are converted from the
different media into a standard canonical format, and parameters within this
subtree may refer to the canonical format packet. The exact translation procedure
is defined by RFC 1188 and RFC 1042, except for the encapsulation of Ethernet
AppleTalk packets which uses a Protocol ID of 00-00-F8 instead of all zeroes.
For further information, refer to the RFCs. The canonical format is also
diagrammed in Appendix B of the ATX User Guide.
