FUSE REPLACEMENT
SERIES 90S9 AND SERIES 90S32 FUSE REPLACEMENT
There are two 0.5-amp fuses in the Series 90, both in the expansion cabinet. One fuse is internal
and is mounted on the power supply board. On early low-voltage Series 90 systems, the second
fuse is an in-line fuse located between the lamp power connector on the rear panel and the power
supply. On later Series 90 and Series 90HV, the second fuse is on the rear panel and is marked
Lamp Fuse.

1.
Be sure power is totally disconnected from cabinet.
2.
To gain access to the power supply, remove the back panel of the expansion cabinet
and remove the four screws on the bottom of the cabinet nearest the sides.
3.
Slide the top cover forward until it just clears the front of the unit. Do not over-
extend the cover, since the front panel switch is wired to the main chassis.
4.
Reach up and disconnect the switch harness, then fully remove the cover.
5.
Locate the power supply and fuses on the front of the card cage assembly. Use
replacement fuses with the same rating as those installed. (Replacing the fuse with a
higher-rated fuse can cause permanent damage to the power supply, scanner control
board, and scanner boards.)
6.
Reconnect switch harness and reassemble cover and back panel.
