TESTDIAG
THE TESTDIAG PROGRAM
TestDiag is one of three programs provided in Cablescan's TestRite software. It is primarily a
test and diagnostic software for Series 90 and Series 90HV test systems. However, it can also
run the built-in self test of the standalone testers including TestMate, Model 64, Model 64x2,
Model 256/PC, and Model 512. Running Self Test from TestDiag is the same test that is run
from tester front panel controls.
This chapter familiarizes you with the main components of the TestDiag screen and their use.

STARTING TESTDIAG
To understand TestDiag you should be familiar with basic Windows techniques such as choosing
commands and resizing windows. Refer to Microsoft Windows documentation.
To run TestDiag follow the instructions below:
1. Click the Start button, and then point to Programs. A pop-up menu with various files and
folders will open.
2. Move the pointer up or down this menu, to TestRite folder.
A TestRite pop-up menu with various files will open.
3. Move the pointer up or down the menu, and click TestDiag. The TestDiag screen will
appear, as shown below (next page). The screen elements are described in the paragraphs
that follow.
Note:
TestRite and TestPanel must be closed before opening TestDiag. Since TestRite,
TestPanel, and TestDiag use the same communications port, only one application
can be running at one time.
