NovaScale 5xx5 Partitioned Server - Operating System Setup
An Operating System instance is pre-installed on each domain boot disk (EFI LUN):
0LU0 = LUN device located in Module0_DIB0 or connected to Module0_IOC0
0LU1 = LUN device located in Module0_DIB1 or connected to Module0_IOC1
0LU2 = LUN device located in Module1_DIB0 or connected to Module1_IOC0
0LU3 = LUN device located in Module1_DIB1 or connected to Module1_IOC1
0LU4 = LUN device located in Module2_DIB0 or connected to Module2_IOC0
0LU5 = LUN device located in Module2_DIB1 or connected to Module2_IOC1
0LU6 = LUN device located in Module3_DIB0 or connected to Module3_IOC0
0LU7 = LUN device located in Module3_DIB1 or connected to Module3_IOC1
According to Customer requirements, identical or different Operating System instances may
be pre-installed on each EFI LUN. Operating System setup must be completed for each
Operating System instance.
Before proceeding to complete setup on each domain:
1. From the Customer Administrator PAM Tree, click Domain Manager . The pre-installed
domains are displayed in the Control pane.
2. Check Operating System type for each domain:
Microsoft Windows or Linux logo in the
Domain Identities
box.
3. Locate the corresponding CD-Rom drive:
MyOperations-1 : Module0, DIB0
MyOperations-2 : Module0, DIB1
MyOperations-3 : Module1, DIB0
MyOperations-4
: Module1, DIB1
MyOperations-5 : Module2, DIB0
MyOperations-6 : Module2, DIB1
MyOperations-7
: Module3, DIB0
MyOperations-8 : Module3, DIB1
4. Note KVM ports for each domain:
MyOperations-1 : CSS0_Mod0_IO0
MyOperations-2 : CSS0_Mod0_IO1
MyOperations-3
: CSS0_Mod1_IO0
MyOperations-4 : CSS0_Mod1_IO1
MyOperations-5
: CSS0_Mod2_IO0

5. Check that the Customer has supplied the System and Networking data required to
complete setup and customize the system. See the Installation Setup Data tables in the
Read Me First document supplied on delivery.
