Antivirus Software
The latest fi rmware updates for the TeraStation include Trend Micro NAS Security
TM
. This antivirus software can protect
data on your computer from software viruses, malware, and spyware. To activate the antivirus software on your TeraSta-
tion, please purchase an OP-TSVC license pack (sold separately).
Notes:
• To use the antivirus software effectively, the TeraStation should be connected to the Internet. The connection
can be routed through a proxy server if the appropriate settings are configured in [Administration]- [Proxy
Settings] from the left-side menu of the Trend Micro NAS Security settings page.
• After registering a license for the software, see the "Virus Scanning" section to configure scanning.
• Trend Micro is a registered trademark of Trend Micro Incorporated.
Activating Virus Scanning
Follow the procedure below to activate virus scanning.

In the TeraStation's Web Admin interface, click [Applications].

Change the icon next to [Antivirus] from

.
A quarantine folder named "TMNAS" is automatically created on the TeraStation. If a virus is detected, viruses
are moved to this folder.
This completes the activation of the virus scan service.
Opening Trend Micro NAS Security Settings
To confi gure Trend Micro NAS Security, follow the procedure below.
