●
Testing explicit locations in the program if the actual root for the error is
not yet known.
●
Testing of stacked subroutines if the root for the error must be searched
there.
The following table shows the control options of breakpoints:
Breakpoint
Effect
F-key
Set
The breakpoint is set and active; the NC analyzer stops before an NC block
marked by that breakpoint.
Set breakpoint
Remove
Breakpoint is completely removed.
Delete breakpoint
Deactivate
The breakpoint set is without function and will not stop the program. The mark,
however, remains.
Deactivate break‐

Activate
Reactivates a deactivated breakpoint. The NC analyzer stops before an NC
block marked by a breakpoint.

Setting and activating Breakpoints
The number of active breakpoints is limited to 20. A breakpoint can be set at
any required NC block of the program and/or subroutine in different channels.
If 20 breakpoints have been set, any new additional breakpoints will be made
inactive. Additionally, a message will be displayed.
You may activate an inactive breakpoint or add a new active breakpoint only
after deactivating one of the 20 breakpoints.
The color of the circle icon shows whether the breakpoint in question is active
(red) or inactive (white).
●
Select the "Program" window.
●
Use the arrow keys or the mouse cursor in the "Program" window to select
the program block at which you want to set a breakpoint. To set the break‐
point, press the F-key <F3> ("Set Breakpoint") or make a single click with
the cursor on the grey vertical bar. A red circle appears (breakpoint set
and activated). Click on the red circle a second time or press the F-key
<F4> ("Deactivate breakpoint") to deactivate the breakpoint.
Breakpoints can be set to active or activated only in the "NC analyzer mode".
Otherwise an error message will appear and the breakpoint will be set to inac‐
tive (white).
