Adding new variables
After a new line has been added, either a CPL variable or a system variable (or
a structured variable) can be added.
Benefits of the Intellisense control
The Intellisense control is used to add new CPL variables / system variables.
Upon entry of a "@" / "SD." the control is displayed. You can navigate within
the control using the <Cursor up/down>, <Page up/down> keys or the mouse.
Confirm selections using <Enter> or by double-clicking. If the selected CPL
variable / system variable is a field or structure, an additional layer can be dis‐
played by the Intellisense control by entering a <period>. If an additional layer
does not exist, the control does not appear.
Special features:
When entering related fields or structures, it is possible to enter only the first
part or parts of the name. The other elements of this variable or structure are
then automatically entered in the list.
Example:
Intellisense control
Name of field:
SD.Sys_VAR; the Intellisense control displays SD.Sys_VAR[1,1,1] and the fol‐
lowing elements. By deleting the index (name new: SD.Sys_VAR) and com‐
pleting the entry, the complete field is entered.
Name of the structure:
SD.Sys_SearchRun[1]; this is also shown by the Intellisense control. Since this
is the first part of the variable, it can be confirmed by pressing <Enter>. All
associated elements are inserted.
Name of the structure:
SD.Sys_SearchRun[1]; this is also shown by the Intellisense control. A further
selection appears when a period is entered. An element is selected. If you now
press <Enter>, only the corresponding portion of the structure is entered.
If the help of the Intellisense control is not required, it is hidden by
pressing <Esc>; then you can continue editing.
