There are eight vertically arranged machine function keys to the right of
the display.
These keys are either connected directly to an integrated PLC of the
MTS-P type, or are available at a 9-way socket (see Fig. 7-10) for the
connection of the I/O chain of an external PLC (e.g. MTS-R).
The key contacts can be used in the range between 5 V DC and 24 V DC.
The maximum switching current is 200 mA.
Addressing
As for BTVs with integrated PLC the machine function keys are directly
connected to the PLC. Therefore, the addresses can be directly assigned
via the PLC program. The addresses depend on the used software
interface. For this reason, it is important to distinguish between:

Software interface up to version 19VRS
•
Software interface from version 21VRS
