Direct angle measurement
Fig. 2:
1 MWA front left = I, A, L, C,
2 MWA front right = B, K, D, M,
3 hexadecimal display of the angle sums (separate check, only in
case of 8 Sensor System).
4 Measured value in angle degree, angle minutes and angle seconds,
5 Transmitter power between the track cameras,
6 MWA rear right = F, O, H, Q
7 MWA rear left = N, E, P, G
I, K, P, Q = Steering axis inclination (max. 4 Steering axis inclination
measurement values)
L, M, N, O = Camber (max. 4 camber measurement values)
A, B, G, H = cross toe (max. 4 toe measurement values)
C, D, E, F = long toe (max. 4 toe measurement values)
Direct angle measurement displays the measurement
i
values of all the available sensors and can be
supported in case of analysing the measuring system
or localising the errors.
Track measurement values:
Measurement values can be displayed in the area +/- 23
degree.
Camber measurement values:
Measurement values can be displayed in the area +/- 15
degree.
Angle spread values:
Measurement values can be displayed in the area +/- 15
degree.
Transmitter power:
4 Transmitter power are provided:
Transmitter power "-" regulation using communica-
i
tion processor.
Transmitter power "0" adjustment and point-blank
1.
range,
Transmitter power "1" for close range,
2.
Transmitter power "2" for middle range and
3.
Transmitter power "3" for long range,
4.
If the diagonally arranged camera determines
i
that the infrared rays are not received, then the
transmitter power is shifted up automatically.
If the diagonally arranged camera determines
i
overexposure (light or infrared radiation is too
intense, infrared cannot be recognised anymore) the
transmitter power is shifted down automatically.
Hexadecimal display of the angle sum (Separate
i
check): Possible only in case of 8-sensor systems.
A measuring rectangle is created with the 8-toe
1.
transmitter.
The angle sum in the rectangle is always 360 degree.
2.
The equipment adds the measured angle of the
3.
individual camera and thus obtains 360° in ideal
case.
The permissible deviation, which appears before the
i
error message "Equipment apart from tolerance" in
the user program, is 10 angle minutes = 600 angle
seconds (258 hexadecimal).
The conversion of the hexadecimal values in a
i
decimal value can be carried out easily using the
Windows calculator in the view "Scientific".
Breakdown of track camera transverse:
Fig. 3:
1 Hexadecimal display of angle sum
If a camera breakdown is displayed, it is possibly
i
located at the transceiver diode of the diagonally
arranged camera. In the above example, the camera
"A" is as the possible originator.
