4.2 User levels, rights and functions
There are different levels that determine the scope of activities that a user can
perform at the control. That means, depending on the level, the options for
operating and setting the control differ. The group of persons as well as the
user level that certain persons have are defined by the administrator (with user
level
Admin
) via the user management. A login to be able to use the control
within the scope of the corresponding rights always requires the defined user
name and a password. The following table shows the user levels and the asso-
ciated basic rights:

Excursus: Login / logout with username and password
To log-in to the controller:
1. In area (2), see „Fig. 4.2: Compressed airnet overview - Other navigation
paths“, page 30 tap / click on user login/login
.
2. Enter user name and password in the login window.
3. Tap / click on the check button
.
The login window closes.
In area (2) the symbol with the corresponding user level appears under
user login/login, in this case Admin
.
To log out of the control:
1. In area (2) under user login/login, tap / click on the symbol with the logged
in user level, in this case Admin
.
2. Tap / click the
button in the window that opens.
3. Confirm logout with "Yes".
The login window closes.
In area (2) the symbol without the corresponding user level
appears
under user login/login.
Level
Description
Without
login
This level always applies when no user is logged in.
Operators cannot edit configurations. They can adjust the visualization in
some places (non-permanent changes), as well as language, formattings
and units in the general system settings.
Since this is the normal state, no user accounts are associated with this lev-
el.
User
This level is intended for persons who manage compressed airnets.
They have access to all areas of application (exception: user administra-
tion) and can edit/change non-critical configurations.
Service
This level is intended for technical personnel who set up the compressed
airnets and carry out service work. They have access to all areas of appli-
cation (exception: user administration) and can edit/change non-critical and
also critical configurations.
Admin
This level is intended for customer administrative staff / supervisors.
They have access to all areas of application and are authorized to edit all
configurations (especially the user administration).
