To connect the communication/data lines:
1. Connect the data lines of Ethernet-suitable network devices/components
to the Ethernet Switch
-20K1
.
2. Connect pressure sensor for system pressure to the Modbus interface
module (reservoir module)
-16K1
.
If the switch cabinet is equipped with an optional second Ethernet switch:
3. Connect further suitable components to optional switch
-22K1
.
If additional optional Modbus interface modules are installed in the switch cab-
inet for equipment or compressors without a suitable Ethernet interface:
4. Connect each of these components to a Modbus interface module in the
switch cabinet.
5. If necessary and not yet available, connect the optional Modbus interface
modules with free ports of the Ethernet switches.
6. Check that all components are securely seated on the top-hat rails and that
the retaining clips of the components are firmly engaged.
7. Check again if all installed cable connections are firmly tightened.
8. Switch on power supply.
WARNING
Risk of injury from live parts. When switching on the power sup-
ply, there is a danger of life-threatening electric shock. Make sure that
switching on the power supply does not lead to unexpected dangerous sit-
uations.
9. Check the functional status of the control by means of the LEDs on the
back of the touch panel, see also „Status LEDs of the control“, page 78)
10.Check the communication status of the connected devices on the Ethernet
Switch
-20K1
(and
-22K1
, if necessary).
11.Enter the connected components into the circuit diagram if necessary.
12.Seal unused openings on the switch cabinet with suitable dummy plugs
(unsealed openings lead to a reduction of the protection class)
13.Close switch cabinet.
All necessary connections to the control for local network and commu-
nication are established.
The control is ready for operation.
Each switch is equipped with Ethernet ports in RJ45 format.
Only connect twisted pair cables (CAT 6) to the Ethernet switch.
When retrofitting an Ethernet switch, it must be connected to a switch that
was already present when the control was delivered, so that communication
via LAN 1 can be guaranteed.
