Connecting the control
Connect the cables for
communication in the
control cabinet
After the electrical connection has been established, cables must be con-
nected in the control cabinet for communication with the components to be
acquired by the control.
Safety instructions prior to connecting the communication/data lines:
– The cables may only be connected in a de-energized state.
– Only use shielded data cables.
– Ensure that the cable shields are properly attached in the Ethernet connec-
tors.
– Use only metallic or metallized connector housings for shielded data lines.
– When connecting network segments, avoid ground loops, potential carry-
over and potential equalization currents via the braided shield.
Compressors with the subordinate (slave) focus control 2.0 are connected
directly to the Ethernet switch in the switch cabinet of the
airtelligence
provis 3
.
Compressors that do not have a control with a suitable Ethernet interface
(e.g. base control) or compressors from third-party manufacturers are con-
nected via Modbus Interface Module 2.0 and the Ethernet switch in the
switch cabinet of the
airtelligence provis 3
. The same applies to equip-
ment or the necessary pressure sensor for the system pressure.
airtelligence provis 3
communicates via two Ethernet interfaces LAN 1
BOGE recommends connecting the local network to LAN 1, while LAN 2
should be reserved for the customer network.
airtelligence provis 3
can
then be operated directly via the customer network using a PC with a suit-
able Internet browser (only Chrome from version 81.0 or Firefox from ver-
sion 68.0).
CAUTION
Danger of disturbances in the control behavior and damage to compo-
nents due to incorrect configuration!
Incorrect or unqualified configurations of Modbus interface modules 2.0 can
lead to disturbances in the control behavior and damages to network compo-
nents.
The configuration of Modbus interface modules 2.0 should only be carried
out by BOGE service personnel or qualified persons who have received
BOGE training on configuration.

ponents“, page 77!
