Manual operation

If an electrical malfunction occurs, lock or un‐
lock the vehicle using the integrated key via
the door lock on the driver's door.

Integrated key in opening, arrow, press and
remove cover.

Unlock or lock the driver's door using the
integrated key in the door lock, or

Opening and closing: from

the inside

Locking and unlocking

Press the button.

Vehicle is locked.

Press the button.

The vehicle is unlocked.

Pressing the buttons locks and unlocks the
doors and the tailgate when the front doors are
closed, but they are not secured against theft.

The fuel filler flap remains unlocked.

To close the doors, push lightly.
It is closed automatically.

Danger of pinching
Make sure that the closing path of the

doors is clear; otherwise, injuries may result.◀

Top tailgate

Opening

The tailgate pivots back and up when it opens.
Ensure that adequate clearance is available
before opening.

Provide edge protection
Sharp or angular objects can hit the rear

window while driving and damage the heating
wires of the rear window. Provide edge protec‐
tion.◀

Opening from the outside

Press the button next to the tailgate.

▷

Press the button on the remote
control for approx. 1 second.

The tailgate opens fully.
This button can also be used to unlock the
doors. The button assignment on the remote
control can be set variously depending on how
the vehicle is equipped and according to the
country-specific variant.
