System Setup
3.1 Starting the system for the first time
When booting the system for the first time, the following messages appear . After the initialization sequence completes, select your
preferred language and set the date and time .
When the
Set date and time
window opens, use the drop down lists to select the
TIME ZONE
and
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS
time
preference . Check the box show set the current cate and time, if needed, then click
Finish
. The date and time setting is used to
timestamp recordings .
NOTE
If the DVR will be networked with access to the internet, you can configure an it to automatically acquire date and time settings
from an NTP (network time protocol) server. See the
System
configuration settings later in this manual.
