4.4.3.A Setting the Dwell Time for Sequential Scanning
Take these steps:
1. From the main OSD window (see
Section 4.3.2
), either type [Alt][M] or press
either of the [Ctrl] (control) keys twice to access the Command Menu.
2. Select “Sequential Scan Dwell Time” from the Command Menu. Type in a
number from 2 to 60; this will be the sequential dwell time, in seconds, for all
channels in the system.
3. Press [Enter].
4.4.3.B Setting the Dwell Time for Alphanumeric Scanning
Take these steps:
1. At the main OSD window (see
Section 4.3.2
), highlight the channel whose
alphanumeric dwell time you want to configure.
2. Either type [Alt][M] or press either of the [Ctrl] (control) keys twice to access
the Command Menu.
3. Select “Channel Maintenance.”
4. Choose “Alpha Scan Dwell Time.”
5. Enter a number from 0 to 255. Values from 1 to 255 will be the alphanumeric
dwell time, in seconds, for that channel; a value of 0 (zero) will cause the
ServSelect to skip that channel during alphanumeric scans.
6. Press [Enter].

CANNING AND

ECURITY
In nonsecure mode, you may scan your channels either alphanumerically
according to your channel list or sequentially through all attached servers. Note
that with sequential scanning, you will pause at every active channel, regardless of
whether that channel has been added to the channel list or not.
In secure mode, you will only scan through channels that appear on the channel
list, regardless of the scanning method chosen.
