3. Run the DB9 serial cable between the “SETUP” ports on the master and slave
units as shown in
Figure 3-9
below.

4. Attach a PS/2 keyboard to the paired units by plugging it into the
port
on the master ServSelect. Attach a PS/2 mouse to the paired units by
plugging it into the
port on the master ServSelect.

1. Do step 4 of
Section 3.1
for each of your first eight computers, attaching them
to the master ServSelect.
2. Do step 4 of
Section 3.1
for each of your remaining computers, attaching
them to the slave ServSelect.
3. Do step 6 of
Section 3.1
for each of the paired ServSelects.
4. Power up your slave ServSelect first, then the master ServSelect, then all
attached computers.
Your ServSelect system should be ready for continuous operation.
CAUTION!
Power down the ServSelects and all attached computers, and unplug
the ServSelects as well, before you move or service either unit.
