Setting Time and Date with NTP
NTP (Network Time Protocol) is an Internet standard protocol which enables
your system clock to be synchronized with the
true time
, defined as the
average of many high-accuracy clocks around the world. NTP is disabled by
default.

To Manually Set the Time and Date
1.
Go to Administration > Time/Date in Expert mode.
The Time/Date form appears.
2.
Select a timezone from the “Timezone” pull-down list.
3.
Select “Disable” from the “Network Time Protocol” menu.
4.
Type the date and time in the fields provided.
5.
Click “apply changes.”

To Configure Time and Date Using an NTP Server
1.
Go to Administration > Time/Date in Expert mode.
The Time/Date form appears.
2.
Select a timezone from the “Timezone” pull-down list.
3.
Select “Enable” from the “Network Time Protocol” pull-down menu.
The “NTP Server” field appears.
