At the top of the window is a drop-down menu listing all of the created panels.
�
The field on the left lists all of the Available Protocols contained within the protocol database.
�
The field on the right displays the ‘Selected Protocols’ that have been chosen and added to a Panel and are visible
when that Panel is chosen in the drop down menu for ‘Panel Name’.
�
To Create a New Panel:
�
Within the ‘Edit Panels’ window, click the ‘Add New Panel’ button.
�
The ‘Add New Panel’ window will open.
�
Enter the name of the Panel in the ‘New Panel Name’ field and click the ‘Add’ button.
�
A confirmation window will open. Click the ‘OK’ button.
�
Click the ‘Return’ button to close the ‘Add New Panel’ window.
�
With the name of the newly created Panel displayed in the ‘Edit Panels’ field, the user will then select the protocols they
wish to add to the Panel by selecting the protocols of interest from the ‘Available Protocols’ column and clicking the ‘Add’ button.
�
If a Positive Control and/or Negative Control is also desired to be added to a Panel along with an Available Protocol,
check the box next to Positive and/or Negative prior to clicking the ‘Add’ button.

Alternatively, if a protocol was added to a Panel in error, the user may highlight the protocol to be removed from the
‘Selected Protocols’ field and click the ‘Remove’ button.
�
Once satisfied with all of the information entered, click ‘Save’ to save changes and then click ‘Return’ to close the ‘Edit Panels’ window.

To Modify a Previously Created Panel:
�
If a user wishes to modify a previously created panel they must first open the ‘Edit Panels’ window and select the Panel
to be modified from the ‘Panel Name’ drop down menu.

The user may then add or delete individual protocols as needed using the ‘Add’ or ‘Remove’ buttons.
�
After all changes have been made the user must then click the ‘Save’ and ‘Return’ buttons to return to the ‘Editors’ window.

To Delete a Panel:

To delete a previously Panel, click the ‘Panel Editor’ button to open the ‘Edit Panels’ window and select the Panel to be
modified from the ‘Panel Name’ drop down menu.
�
With the Panel name displayed in the drop down menu field, click the ‘Delete This Panel’ button.
�
NOTE: The software will not ask for confirmation of deletion when performing this step. It is not necessary to
click ‘Save’ after performing this action.
�
After all deletions have been made the user must then click the ‘Return’ button to return to the ‘Editors’ window.
