NOTES:
Operating time specified for overhaul of any given part number in ths schedule applies to all
successive dash numbers, unless otherwise specified.
An interim inspection is required at 3000 hours for a new transmission and 3000 hours after each
overhaul (BHT-222-CR&O-2).
An interim inspection is required at 3000 hours for a new tail rotor gearbox and 3000 hours after each
overhaul (BHT-222-CR&O-3).
A 600-hour interval inspection may be required. Refer to Every 600 Hours of Component Operation.
Transmission assembly may be modified to the equivalent of transmission 222-040-003-111. Refer to
TB 222-84-66, Rev. A and TB 222-00-163.
Servicing with 555 lubricating oil, Specification DOD-PRF-85734 is required. Early delivered Model 222
helicopters serviced with oil other than 555 are permitted to utilize the increased time between overhaul
without a complete overhaul provided conversion to 555 oil occurred within 600 hours of new.
