Remove and inspect main driveshafts visually.
If evidence of yielding or deformation is noted, scrap the
appropriate driveshaft assembly and the engine driveshaft
adapter and attaching bolts.
BHT-222-CR&O-2
(2)
If no visual evidence of damage is detected,
perform an overhaul. Make an entry in component record to
show reason for removal was sudden stoppage.

(3)
Make an entry in component record to show
reason for removal was sudden stoppage.

Transmission and Mast Assembly
(1)
If mast has evidence of torsional yielding, the mast
and transmission shall be considered unserviceable and
scrapped. If a main driveshaft required replacement (step d),
the outboard quill will be unserviceable and scrapped.
BHT-222-CR&O-2
(2)
If mast does not have torsional yielding, main
driveshafts were retained (step d), and transmission has no
obvious damage that would render it nonrepairable, the
transmission and mast shall have an overhaul evaluation. Make
an entry in component record to show reason for removal was
sudden stoppage.
BHT-222-CR&O-2
