Where to locate the KMX-3921 card(s) in the frame
Six KMX-3921 Cards shown Assembled with a KMX-3921-54X4-3+HR Rear Panel in a Densité 3+ FR4
Frame equipped with either a CPU-ETH3-STD standard or CPU-ETH3-ADV advanced frame controller

In the above diagram, the cards are identified with letters. The capacity of each KMX-3921
card is explained in the table below.

input for cards A, B, C, and D can be used either as a video input or as a MADI audio
input. See Cabling Diagrams , on page 39 for how to connect MADI inputs.
Where to locate the KMX-3921 card(s) in the frame
Multiviewer Installation in a Densité 3+ FR1 Frame
The Densité 3+ FR1 frame has space for 4 modular card slots. Identify the space in the
Densité 3+ FR1 frame the multiviewer is to be located. A single KMX-3921 card can be
installed in any one of the 4 modular card slots with its corresponding rear panel. More than
one multiviewer system can be installed in one Densité 3+ FR1 frame, however, each
multiviewer system will be functionally independent of each other.
Multiviewer Installation in a Densité 3+ FR4 Frame
The Densité 3+ FR4 frame has space for 24 modular card slots. Identify the space in the
Densité 3+ FR4 frame the multiviewer is to be located. A single KMX-3921 card can be
installed in any one of the 24 modular card slots with its corresponding rear panel. When
there are between two and six KMX-3921 cards to be installed

, they must be installed
together side-by-side in a series and use the same common rear panel to form a
multiviewer system. More than one multiviewer system can be installed in one
Densité 3+ FR4 frame, however, each multiviewer system will be functionally independent
of each other.
