KMX-3921
Installation & Service Manual
Supported Frames and Multiviewer Scaling
The frame the KMX-3921 multiviewer is installed in and the frame’s controller model has a
direct effect on the multiviewer’s implementation:
• A KMX-3921 9
×
1 or 9
×
2 multiviewer can fit in either a
Densité 3+ FR1
or
Densité 3+ FR4
frame (with any frame controller model type).
• All other larger multiviewer models are only compatible with a
Densité 3+ FR4
frame
that is equipped with either the
CPU-ETH3-STD standard or CPU-ETH3-ADV advanced
frame controller
.
If the frame has available slots, multiple individual multiviewers can coexist in the same
frame. This is summarized in the table below.
Seamless
control across
multiple
multiviewers
Kaleido multiviewers can be
mixed and matched
to create a seamless
monitoring system across a facility.
Choice of control options such as the standalone Kaleido-RCP2 or RCP-200
panels, integrated with router control systems and panels, iControl, and
third-party control systems.
Scalable for the
largest systems
Virtually limitless multiviewer system expansion with an upstream router.
High Dynamic
Range Support
and Wide Color
Gamut
support
a
Support for HDR and WCG input signals. This supports a mix of multiviewer
signal input types (SDR, HDR, color gamut) to be viewed in the mosaic output
at the same time within the limits of the ITU Rec. 709 output.
The HDR format permits the display of a wider range of luminance between
the brightest and darkest parts of an image. WCG permits an extended color
space range of an image.
SDR mosaic
output
The mosaic outputs always use Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) and colors
according to ITU Rec. 709.
