BACTEC° 9050 System User's Manual

6.3 Module Replacement

The BACTECa 9050 instrument has been designed and tested for troublefree
performance. However, in the event of a malfunction, most of the major system
components can be replaced. Procedures for removing and replacing compo-
nents are provided in the sections that follow.

Replacement modules may be swapped for failed modules which are then re-
turned to Becton Dickinson. Credit is then applied towards the replacement
module. Only replacement parts supplied by Becton Dickinson should be used in

the procedures described in this section.

Module replacement instructions are organized in the following groups:

Front Cabinet Components (Damper Cylinder, Door Sensor Switch, Rotor, RTD
