Creating Custom PPP Profiles
The default profiles work in most situations. However, if you need
to have more specific security and bandwidth allocation you can
create your own custom PPP profiles and assign them as normal.
To create your own profile, at the ppp# prompt use the following
syntax:
[co] [new] pr name
where co takes the router into config mode (if required), new is
the new verb (optional), pr is the MTD for profile and name is
the name you are assigning to this profile.
For example, to create a new profile called ‘company’, type the
following command at the ppp# prompt:
ppp# new pr company
The BCC moves you into the new profile object and prompts you
to save the changes:
[Save] profile/company#
To display the attributes for the new profile, type i at the prompt; a
list of attributes appears. In the table below, click on the
parameter for which you require further assistance.
