Displaying Devices
It is not possible to move directly into the device# context. Instead
you have to specify the device object that you want to inspect
using the following MTC:
[co] [mod] dev type/name
where co moves the BCC into config mode (if necessary); mod
modifies the device (optional); dev moves the BCC into the
device object; type is the type of device to be edited and name is
the name assigned to the device.
For example, at the box# (config) prompt, the following is typed
to modify the Basic Rate Interface (BRI) device:
box# dev bri/isdn-ta01
device/bri/isdn-ta01#
Device names are assigned by the router and cannot be amended.
To see a list of all the devices on your router, use the ls -l
command at the box# prompt.
All objects and devices are listed when the ls -l command is typed
at box#. You may need to page through the list to find the device
you are looking for.
