Cul-de-sac Routing
To set the router up for cul-de-sac routing, after entering setup the
first question you are asked is:
Do you wish to run quick setup now?: n
The default here is n (for no); type y (for yes) to begin Setup.
The next question is:
Enter the name of this router (e.g., accountname):
Enter here the name you wish your router to be known by or, if
you are connecting to the Internet via an Internet Service Provider
(ISP), enter the account name the ISP has given you.
Enter the IP Address for this router.:
Enter the IP address of your Nautica router or the IP address given
you by the ISP. Type in the address in the format
000.000.000.000/00 where /00 is the subnet mask you are using.
If you enter the address without a subnet mask for example,
198.200.100.10/0 or 198.200.100/10, the router is set up for
single host addressing.
Single host addressing is used when your router is connecting to
an ISP. Press enter.
Are you using Cul-de-sac routing?:n
Cul-de-sac routing allows two networks with the same subnet
masks to communicate. For example, to save on limited IP
addresses, a remote office may use the same IP subnet as a central
office.
The default option for this question is n, to set up for cul-de-sac
routing, change this option to y and press enter.
Note:
This is the only time you can stop Quick Setup.
