Using this Manual

This manual is a supplement to the Remote Annex Administrator’s Guide
for UNIX. It is organized into three books:

•

Book A: Configuration Procedures presents a general
introduction to the RA 6300 as well as configuration
information.

•

Book B: Network Management describes the utilities for
managing RA 6300s and monitoring the network.

•

Book C: Reference provides a reference material for the
commands, parameters, utilities, and network protocols
supported by the RA 6300.

This manual is called a “supplement” because several of its chapters only
describe how the RA 6300 differs from other members of the Remote
Annex product family.

Supported Version

This manual supports Release 4.2 of the Remote Annex 6300 software.
The Engineering Release is 13.3.
